The price depends on the number of passengers. A taxi in Cambodia usually fits about 7 people, excluding the driver. You might find that not only the passenger’s seat fits two passengers, the driver’s seat does so, too. For more comfort, buy the whole passenger’s seat (2 seats), a double seat in the back or the entire backseat (4 seats). Taxis leave when full. Expect to pay $5.00 or more per seat.

    Transport in and around Kampot
  By foot
Kampot is an excellent town to walk around: compact, great architecture, lovely people always willing to try to have a conversation or at least show you their smiles.
Bicycle Blissful guesthouse and Little Garden Bar offer bicycles for rent. Take a ride to Kep on a paved and mostly flat road through beautiful Cambodian country side, to Tek Chou rapids, Tek Chou Zoo or just around town. On a good mountain bike the road to Bokor Hill Station is a must for die-hards, but it is not recommendable to do so on any of the bicycles available for rent in Kampot.
  Motorbike (motodup)
Motorbike taxis can be found at the old bridge, the bus station and at the roundabout.
  Rental motorbikes
Both Honda Dreams and trail bikes can be rented from Sien Ly or from Cheng Try, conveniently located next to each other(see Kampot Map). We would be pleased to arrange your bike for you during your stay. Both also offer mechanic services.
Tuk-tuk A great way of traveling around, for those who don’t like driving motorbikes and still want to be in the outdoor air. Be aware: you might have to walk the last few 100 meters to your restaurant or guesthouse, as most are built on hills that tuk tuks cannot handle. As there are not many tuktuks in Kampot, we recommend booking in advance.
Remorque Word used for both a cycle powered horse cart and motorbike powered multi-passenger cart (up to about 25 passengers). Remorques can be found at the market, the cycle version for short rides, the motorbike version travels longer distances to villages around Kampot.
